- The size M6 fasteners included in this kit are made of A2 Stainless Steel. Look at your own car or in the parking lot, 99% of the cars with metal fasteners you see have rusty screws. Why? Because 99% of the fasteners out there are not made of stainless steel. - The fasteners are 25mm long to account for the added length of the spacers. |
- The fasteners have a truely unique button head with a recessed 4mm hex socket head. What this means for you is that the socket is tamper resistant (unless people carry 4mm allen wrenches with them) and the screw is more aesthecially pleasing than your typical flat head or phillips head screw. - Fastener will accept "standard" screw covers (the inexpensive "caps" that are in gold, black, and silver found at your local department store.) - What truly makes this kit special is that it comes with four rubber spacers. These spacers, when placed between your car and the license plate, will raise your license plate approximately 1/2" so that your plate will not vibrate against your detailed finish. Some people use rubber strips or tape or sealing, and that just makes for a dirt trapping sticky mess. -This kit comes in 4 and 8 packs. Typical fastener sets only come in 2, leading you to buy 2 sets. And they will rust if they are zinc plated or just plain steel. Don't settle for less while paying more.
